Meet Jagos Pesic, a convivial and ambitious junior environment artist with 2 years of experience and a contagious upbeat attitude. He is Vancouver based and a Capilano University graduate with a diploma in Visual Effects for Film Streaming and Immersive Media. Jagos is proficient with handling the best technical programs available, such as Maya for modelling, Substance Painter for texturing and Gaea for creating vast and stunning landscapes.
Being of Serbian descent and growing up in Canada, he has been educated to speak 3 languages, Serbian, English and French. He is dedicated and passionate in the field, being endlessly inspired by the work he sees in movies and TV. He has always had a love for filmmaking and cinematography, having started out by making his own films and uploading them to various social media platforms. With all this in mind, VFX seemed like the next logical step.
In 2021 he started his journey at Capilano University by getting enrolled in the Visual Effects for Film Streaming and Immersive Media program, a high intensity and professional learning environment. His objective is to find a position in the film industry that will put his versatility and creativity to the test and challenge his knowledge.
It is the beauty of the natural world that inspires him to be an artist. He loves being outside and losing himself in its beauty, looking to find inspiration to bring into his own work.
His proposition is simple, finding the beauty in the mundane, that most tend to overlook but once is appreciated can really be breathtaking.
